The Italian Government Scholarships for 2026
The Italian Government Scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year are now open for applications. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers these scholarships to foreign students and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) to promote cultural, scientific, and technological cooperation, and to spread Italian language and culture.
Eligibility:
Open to foreign students and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) in specific countries
Age limits: 28 years (Master's), 30 years (PhD), 40 years (research projects)
Required documents: valid passport, academic qualifications, language proficiency (Italian B2 or English B2)
Scholarship Types:
Master's Degree (9 months, renewable)
AFAM(Higher Artistic, Musical, and Dance Education) (9 months, renewable)
PhD (9 months, renewable)
Research Projects (9 months, non-renewable)
Italian Language and Culture Courses (3 months)
